Wyoming's pro-life laws protect  mother, child and medical professionals

  • Conscience protection: Individual is protected from participating in abortion. Wyo. Stat. §§ 35-6-106; 35-6-113; 35-6-114 (2013)
  • Conscience protection: Private institutions are protected from participating in abortion. Wyo. Stat. § 35-6-105 (2013)
  • Fetal disposal law: Wyo. Stat. § 35-6-109 (2013)
  • Parental involvement: The parent of a minor must consent and be notified before an abortion is provided. Wyo. Stat. §§ 35-6-101; 35-6-118 (2013)
  • Physician only: abortions must be performed by licensed physician. Wyo. Stat. § 35-6-111 (2013)
  • Post-viability ban: These so-called bans are ineffective. They contain broad health exceptions. Wyo. Stat. §§ 35-6-101; 35-6-102; 35-6-110 (2013)
  • Public funding: available for abortion in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. Wyo. Stat.§ 35-6-117 (2013)
  • Abortion Reporting: identification of facility; woman‘s demographic characteristics (e.g., age, race, ethnicity, marital status and number of previous pregnancies, live births, and abortions) gestational age; and abortion procedure used. Includes complications, length and weight of unborn child, type of facility where abortion was performed. Wyo. Stat. §§ 35-6-107; 35-6-108 (2013)
